Researchers, this page is devoted to the history of a New York State branch of the Baker family. A group of notes and letters inherited from Jane (Jennie) Elizabeth Baker, wife of Philip Victor Weaver and my paternal grandmother, served as a starting point for the findings below. These documents reveal my grandmother's interest in family history and corresponding research effort. Jane was a daughter of George W. Baker and a granddaughter of Daniel Baker.
